OFSTED

We are thrilled to share the outcome of our recent Ofsted inspection, which celebrates Christ Church Charnock Richard CofE Primary School as a place where pupils “learn well and achieve highly.” Inspectors praised the high quality of education, they said that pupils “gain secure knowledge and a wide range of skills across the curriculum” and are “very well prepared for their next stage of education.”

Behaviour and attitudes were judged to be a strong standard, with inspectors describing pupils’ behaviour as “exemplary” and our school as “a calm, positive place for pupils to learn without disruption.” They highlighted that “pupils are incredibly proud to be part of their school” and “enjoy attending and are highly motivated to do their best.”

Inspectors also recognised our caring ethos and strong community, describing us as “a school that values inclusion, strives to develop the whole child and promotes a sense of belonging,” where “warm and positive relationships are the bedrock of the work that the school does.” Parents were noted as being “full of praise for the caring ethos and the community spirit” of the school.

Safeguarding was confirmed as effective, with inspectors recognising “an open and positive culture of safeguarding” and stating that “pupils are made safer and feel safe.”

We are incredibly proud of this report — a true celebration of our pupils, staff, families and wider school community.
