If you have a child starting school in September 2026 we currently have the below sessions available for booking to come and look around the school. Please email bursar@charnockrichard.lancs.sch.uk to book your place.
- Thursday 20 November – Admissions 2026 Open Morning 9.15am appointment only
- Wednesday 26 November – Admissions 2026 Open Morning 1.15pm appointment only

Children may start school at the beginning of the school year in which they turn five years old. Please refer to our Admission’s Policy below.
Parents ‘must’ complete the Local Authority application form, stating three preferences. Those who wish their application to this Church school to be considered against the faith criteria ‘should’ also complete the appropriate questions on the supplementary application form at the bottom of this page. If we are oversubscribed, a failure to answer these questions may result in your application for a place being considered against a lower priority criteria as the Governing Board will have no information upon which to assess the worship attendance.

We do not hold in year waiting lists and places cannot be reserved. Each application is considered in line with our admission policy and distances calculated in a straight line from the current address the child resides at to the front of school.
If we do not have a space available in the requested year group, you will then have the right to make an appeal.
